PAT Testing For Your Portable Appliances
There is no legal directive regarding the frequency of your PAT testing. However, the Health and Safety Executive states that it should be carried out frequently enough to avoid the need for maintenance. This means that testing should occur regularly enough to prevent you from having to call for repairs or maintenance because your appliance is broken.
PAT testing should be done at least once a year. Tested devices will have the test date written on a label, which can be used to check when the last test was completed. The number on the label corresponds to the individual certificate you will receive for each item tested. All of our partner engineers are qualified and certified to complete your PAT testing to the highest possible standards. This includes a standard PAT test for anything with a plug that is not a medical device, as well as Medical PAT testing.
Medical PAT Testing Services
Whilst we are on-site, testing and calibrating your medical equipment, why not save time and reduce disruption by allowing us to also complete the Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) of your doctor's surgery, medical centre, pharmacy, at the same time? We already provide this service for the majority of sites across the UK that we attend.
CQC and your insurance company will expect you to provide evidence of an adequate maintenance record for items with a 3-pin plug on-site when required.
With our expertise and dedication to safety, you can trust us to ensure that your electrical equipment is thoroughly inspected and compliant with regulations. Compared to standard PAT testing, we utilise different equipment to carry out tests for your medical equipment, which would normally be tested against the requirement of EN62353 or EN60601 due to additional risks posed to the safety of the user.
For our Medical PAT Testing Services in the UK, please do not hesitate to contact us, either by phone at 01903 763454.
Additionally, we also offer EICR Testing & Certificate Services to guarantee the safety of your building.
