When used with Siemens reagents strips, Chek-Stix provide defined results for glucose, bilirubin, ketone, specific gravity, blood, pH, protein, urobilinogen, nitrite and leukocytes. Each Chek-Stix positive strip is made from firm plastic with seven sperate analyte areas. These areas contain one or more natural or synthetic ingredients which produce a positive control solution when dissolved in a measure quanity of distilled or deionised water. The negative control contains siz analyte areas which produce a negative control solution.
