ChitoSAM agent - 10cm x 10cm

The ChitoSAM™ 100 is a high-performance haemostatic, non-woven chitosan dressing spun directly from chitosan (derived crustaceans). The single ply dressing is 10x10cm (4x4in) and is ideal to be placed on small wounds in addition to trauma gauzes.

Designed specifically to stop lethal bleeding fast, its ease of use is extremely effective and works independently from the body’s normal clotting processes.

The ChitoSAM™ is idea for the control of moderate to severe bleeding and management of external abrasions, lacerations.

For larger wounds, the ChitoSAM™ 100 Z-Fold Haemostatic Dressing 3in x 4ft is also available.

Apply the ChitoSAM™ 100 in 3 steps:

• 1. COVER. TEAR ANYWHERE PACKAGING - The innovative, tear-able from any side packaging allows for quick access to ChitoSAM™ to treat and cover wounds quicker.
• 2. CLOT. PERFORMANCE GAUZE - ChitoSAM™ has a haemostatic performance equivalent to products impregnated or coated with chitosan haemostatic agents. The single ply dressing is 10x10cm (4x4in) and is ideal to be placed on wounds in addition to trauma gauzes.
• 3. CONTROL. STOP BLEEDING FAST - Designed to stop lethal bleeding fast, its ease of use is extremely effective. Works independently from the body’s normal clotting processes. Apply firm pressure for 3 minutes to control bleeding.

GENERAL ADVICE & INFORMATION:

• CE marked to 2460
• Use appropriate size of dressings based on wound area and amount of bleeding
• Apply dressing directly to the wound
• To control bleeding, apply firm pressure for 3 minutes
• Secure with adequate cover dressing, maintaining pressure to the wound
• Remove dressing after 24 hours
• Use sterile saline or water to rinse any dressing remnants from the wound when removing
• Do not place over the eyes
