BD Vacutainer Plasma Tubes contain Sodium or Lithium Heparin and are used to obtain a plasma sample. The tubes are are available in both plastic and glass, in sizes 2ml, 4ml and 6ml, and are identified with a green cap. The additive in the plastic plasma tube is spray coated onto the inner wall.

BD Vacutainer Heparin tubes can be centrifuged immediately after collection.
